Jump Break Test

This is a test post. Boring test text. It is all about the exploits of the legendary quick brown fox jumping the bones of the sexy lazy dog, no, wait, maybe that's not quite how it goes. But it might make typing practice more interesting. before the break, random drivel like this. After the break: boobies!

BlogSpot Stars Are Smart

A hundred culturally smart points to nitecruzr for neutrally informing a foreign blogger that this is a holiday week in the USA. No "Dude, it's Christmas!" just "holiday week." Every culture has holiday weeks and not everyone is going to know when everyone else's are. Well done.

Danish Post Test

Test of Danish characters
spændt på øjne, så

Apologies if one of these is a rude word. I copied them out of a blog, but I don't speak Danish.

E-Mail Me Icon

The E-mail Me icon with the panda, in the sidebar is made with this code:

<a href="mailto:me@foo.ca"><img border="0" alt="Hosted by Cute Icons.NET" style="border:1px solid #CCCCCC;" src="http://www.cuteicons.net/images/icons/panda_bear_walking_towards_camera.jpg"/></a>

<br/>Or use text: <a href="mailto:me@foo.ca">E-mail Me</a>

Put your e-mail address instead of me@foo.ca. Put the URL of your icon image instead of http://www.cuteicons.net/images/icons/panda_bear_walking_towards_camera.jpg. Use any icon you like, but make sure it is hosted somewhere that permits its use on another website. Most images and icons you find are available for you to download and host yourself. If you can't find an icon you like on a free hosting site, you can host it yourself on Picassa, photobucket or the like.

The result is this, as you can see in the sidebar.

Or use text: E-mail Me

How Do I Find Blogs on a Certain Topic?

The Next Blog link the title bar tries to take you to blogs like the one you are on. It doesn't always succeed, so if you don't like the one it takes you to, hit the back button in your browser and try again.

The words and phrases listed in your profile interests serve as links to lists of other profiles with the same interests. They may have blogs that cover those interests, so it's worth checking out.

Google has a search engine dedicated to finding blogs at http://blogsearch.google.com.

And once you find blogs that you like, check out their blog rolls and the blogs of the people who comment on their blog, because they too may be what you are looking for.

Blogger Won't Tell Them to Stop

This is the standard answer from Blogger when people complain that someone else's blog is detrimental to them.

Blogger.com and Blogspot.com are US sites regulated by US law. Blogger is a provider of content creation tools, not a mediator of that content. We allow our users to create blogs, but we don't make any claims about the content of these pages. Given these facts, and pursuant with section 230(c) of the Communications Decency Act, Blogger does not remove allegedly defamatory, libelous, or slanderous material from Blogger.com or BlogSpot.com. If a contact email address is listed on the blog, we recommend you working directly with the author to have the content in question removed or changed.

Blogger Limits

This is a good post setting out all the limits Blogger places on storage and blog size. The "unlimited" number of blogs per account is actually 100, but the dashboard becomes unmanageable long before that. You can have up to 1 GB of pictures storage, max 250k per picture.

Your Blog is Too Ugly To Live

Q: When I clicked "older posts", it shows me the posts in the third page. That means I lose all post in page 2. Next time, it shows the posts in 5th page, and continue like that. Also, if I click on "newer posts", it did not go back to the newer posts, and stuck in the same page.

A: Your site is a terrifying morass of pop-ups, flash code and obviously scraped movie reviews. No one visiting your site would ever want to subject themselves to any subsequent pages, so the older posts link is completely superfluous.

Hello Cat 2

Okay, this is a test to see if the jump break requires more text to work with the image.

Much more text. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. No hablo español. No hablo portugues. Quiero un caballo con quesa. Lots of crazy typing. I should cut and paste like k.wara did. My mother-in-law usually roasts lamb (well done, which is what Italians like, and if you don't like rare lamb, I suggest you try it because I much prefer it the Italian way), but my father-in-law had a hankering for what his Mom used to do, so Graziella stewed it instead. The recipe is very much oral, in the tradition of home recipes, and quantities are rather approximate. To serve about 6 you'll need:

Mozilla Firefox is a fast, full-featured web browser that's easy to use. It has lots of great features including popup-blocking, tabbed-browsing, integrated search, improved privacy features, automatic updating and more.

Blog URLs Never Expire

Even if a blog has zero posts, or only one test post from five years ago, Blogger will not give you the URL. Ever. Don't ask. Don't ask support to help you get it. Make up a new URL and move on.

If you happen to find a way to get in touch with the owner of the old blog and they agree to give you their password, then you can have the blog, but Blogger will not help you find the person, and neither will the help forum.
